I enjoyed the afternoon we spent
at Emirates Palace. Khaldoun Daouds' paintings
were very abstract and were interesting because
of the way he used a variety of different
colours. Mostly, he used a lot of dark colours
with some areas of very bright colour which I
thought was effective but the dark colours made
the painting look dull.
The part where we sat outside in the garden and
painted on the cardboard, we were given was fun.
We already had yellow/blue/green painted on but
we were then asked to use black to add more to
the painting.
Afterwards, Khaldoun used his hands with some
red acrylic to add to what we had done
previously. I think the black was too dark a
colour to use but I did like the idea of using
my hands to paint with instead of just paint
brushes. I may use that idea in my own artwork
sometime.
