This was the first time I have ever spent time with an artist and spoke to him about his work.

The artist Khaldoun’s work inspired me because I like his style. He said that he does not plan what he is going to do but it comes through in his work eventually. I think it’s true because I have experienced these feelings about my own work.

When we were experimenting using a brush and acrylic paint I made the shape of a horse by accident. This links to my previous piece of work from last year.

Khaldoon does not only paint but also makes sculptures, films and is a photographer.

I am sure that this experience will stay with me for a while because it really
felt good painting freely like this and using the techniques of Khaldoon. I
found it interesting and it will help me with my work.
